Police have located the body of a man following an extensive search and rescue operation at Babinda Falls.
Around 2:20pm yesterday December 15, an international tourist in his 20s was reported missing, after he fell into the water and failed to resurface.
A search was immediately launched, involving police, SES, Queensland Fire Department Swift Water Rescue crews and the police helicopter.
The search was suspended overnight and resumed early this morning.
At around 11am, the body of a man was located in the water.
Formal identification is underway to determine the identity of the man.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
