Detectives have launched an investigation after a 21-year-old man was located deceased at Woodstock, south of Townsville, yesterday, December 14.

Police were initially called to Webb Road around 8:45am after the Vincent man was located unresponsive in a silver 2003 Subaru Forester.

Upon arrival, the man was declared deceased, and the vehicle was seized for forensic examination.

Investigators from the Townsville Criminal Investigation Unit now believe the man’s death to be suspicious and are appealing for anyone with information on anyone or vehicles near Webb Road and Dingo Park Road in the Woodstock area between Friday evening and Saturday morning to come forward.

Additionally, members of the public who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage that may assist investigations are asked to contact police.
