The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious two-vehicle traffic crash in Booyal this morning, November 17.
It will be alleged, at approximately 11.10am, a Ford Ranger was travelling north on the Bruce Highway, near Booyal Dallarnil Road, when it struck a motorbike.
The motorbike rider, a 68-year-old Moranbah man, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Ranger, a 69-year-old New South Wales man, has been arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and leaving the scene without obtaining help.
He remains in custody and will appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday, November 18.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who have relevant dashcam vision, is urged to come contact police.
