Man accused of stabbing another man in neck and starting fire in Adelaide’s west

A man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a man in the neck and starting a fire in Adelaide’s west.

Crews were called to a rooming house on Henley Beach Road at Underdale at 2:30am after reports one of the residents had stabbed another with a small knife.

The victim was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with minor injuries.

The suspect was arrested after a struggle with police, who used capsicum spray.

They said the 32-year-old poured accelerant through the property and started a fire before the stabbing.

He has been charged with aggravated assault causing harm and arson, and is expected to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

Also overnight, police are searching for a teenager accused of holding up a service station in Norwood, in Adelaide’s east.

Police were called to the OTR on The Parade just after midnight. 

They say the boy told the attendant he had a weapon and demanded cash before getting away on foot.

No-one was injured.

The suspect is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 15 years old and 155 centimetres tall, with a slight build.

He was wearing black socks on his hands.
